You are cordially invited to the Céilí of the Valley Society’s 10th annual Celtic New Year Samhain (pronounced SOW-in) Festival set for Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Willamette Heritage Center.
This one-day festival celebrates the cultures of the seven Celtic Nations (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia, and Isle of Man) through live music, speakers, presentations, workshops, and immersive/hands-on activities that will be educational and fun for the whole community.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary, so it is more accessible to all community members, our goal is to have free admission. To do that, we need your support. We are seeking local businesses and organizations with which to partner. The goal is to unite the community and promote understanding and recognition of diversity by sharing Celtic culture.
The Céilí of the Valley Society is a Salem-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and perpetuating Celtic heritage and culture in the Willamette Valley, primarily through social and community events that incorporate music and dance. An all-volunteer organization, the society offers a variety of Celtic opportunities through these activities: providing dance and music enjoyment through weekly classes, holding monthly dances with live music, performing at cultural events and festivals, engaging people of all ages and abilities in dance through demonstrations at community venues such as assisted living facilities, academic institutions, and historical areas. Céilí of the Valley hosts an annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration parade in Salem and is a proud sponsor of Celtic Music Hour on KMUZ 88.5, and 100.7 FM, a Mid-Willamette Valley community radio station whose hosts are Céilí of the Valley members.
