The 2020 Samhain Celtic New Year Festival is excited to welcome Colleen Raney.
Vocalist Colleen Raney has been referred to as “among the best in her genre”. (Irish Music Magazine) and “one of America’s best traditional singers.” (Tradconnect)
Born into a family where Irish music and dance were a part of everyday life, Colleen got a MFA in Acting from the University of Washington, worked as an actor for ten years, and then came back to the traditional music world. She created her first album, Linnet in 2008, followed by Lark in 2011. She’s added Here This Is Home in 2013 and Standing in Doorways in 2018.
Colleen has toured extensively in the United States and abroad, and her music can be heard on radio in Europe, Japan, and throughout the United States.
