Kathryn Rose is a folk singer and recording artist from Oregon. She has been singing since she could talk and grew up listening to Irish and Scottish folk music. She began seriously collecting songs after her grandmother passed away and she found a treasure trove of handwritten Irish folk songs tucked inside the piano bench. Kathryn performs folk music from both sides of the pond, with an emphasis on Ireland and even a dash of Gaeilge here and there. Her influences include Susan McKeown, Christy Moore, the Clancy Brothers, Seamus Begley, Sarah Ghriallais, Moya Brennan, and more.
