Halloween, before horror movies and trick-or-treating became the norm, came from a Celtic celebration known as Samhain (pronounced sow-in), also known as the “feast of the dead.” The holiday served as a New Year celebration, and the folks from the Ceili of the Valley Society want to introduce the tradition to Salem.
